Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We’ll pick you up from your hotel and drive for 2 hours to Tarangire National Park, known for its diverse landscapes and ancient baobab trees. The park is home to Tanzania’s largest elephant population, offering a unique chance to see elephant families interact. Enjoy a game drive, focusing on areas with recent animal sightings, though predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards can be elusive. You'll also spot herbivores like giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras. After a delicious lunch, we'll continue our game drive and exit the park around 4:30 pm. Finally, we’ll head to Suricata Boma Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 6-hour drive from Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti, with several picturesque stops along the way. As you journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, take a 20-minute break at the Ngorongoro Crater gate and viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of the crater. If you're interested, you can also visit a Maasai village to learn about the unique culture of the Maasai people, renowned for their warrior traditions and historical lion hunting practices, which, although mostly faded, remain fascinating. Arrive in Serengeti in the late afternoon and enjoy a thrilling game drive around Seronera, where you may have the opportunity to witness predators in action at sunset. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the Ang'ata Serengeti Camp.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, we'll head out for a morning game drive to explore the rich wildlife of Serengeti. In the afternoon, we'll return to camp for lunch and prepare to depart. As we leave the Serengeti, we'll enjoy another game drive, taking in the sights along the way. Our next stop will be Simba Campsite, a 2-hour drive from Serengeti, located near the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. From the campsite, you'll have the opportunity to observe wildlife in the surrounding area.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

After a quick breakfast, we’ll begin our descent into the crater, setting off on an exciting search for the elusive black rhino. The unique terrain of the crater floor makes spotting these magnificent creatures a real challenge, adding an extra layer of thrill to the adventure.

After lunch, we’ll embark on a game drive, followed by an ascent back up the crater to return to camp. Once there, we’ll prepare our bags for the next leg of our journey, as we make our way to Suricata Boma Lodge near Lake Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara to Arusha

After breakfast, we’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park for an exciting game drive, offering a chance to spot a diverse range of bird species. If you're lucky, you might even witness the famous tree-climbing lions in action. We’ll also stop by the hippo pool for a closer look at these fascinating creatures and visit the hot springs. Throughout the game drive, you’ll have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including buffaloes, wildebeests, warthogs, vultures, eagles, monkeys, and much more. Later, we’ll drive back to Arusha, where you’ll check into your hotel for an overnight stay. This will give you time to relax and prepare for tomorrow’s thrilling adventure to Kilimanjaro.
