Day 1

Our representative (or your guide) will meet you at the airport, pick you up and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. The drive from the airport to your hotel is about 45min. Your safari consultant together with your safari guide will brief you on various aspects of your itinerary including sharing all the important tips before the safari begins.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

In the morning (depends on agreed departure time), your guide will collect you from your hotel for a leisure ride to Tarangire for a thrilling day of game viewing. This park is distinguished for a great number of elephants, birdlife, big cats and other fabulous wildlife. During the dry season Tarangire River, which cuts through the park, is a magnet for animal life. In the evening proceed to your lodging close to Manyara.

Day 3

Lake Natron

Lake Natron

Today you proceed to Lake Natron, arrive at the camp for check in then depart for a walking safari to see the hominid footprints near the camp. Researchers have catalogued this spectacularly rare find of well-preserved human footprints left in the mud between 5,000 and 19,000 years ago. No other site in Africa has as many ancient Homo sapiens footprints, making it a treasure trove for scientists trying to tell the story of humankind’s earliest days. Later on (after lunch and when the sun is cooler), you depart for Ngare Sero Waterfalls hiking adventure. This is a fascinating climbing adventure into a deep volcano canyon that requires walking carefully along crags of ancient rocks. Once deep within the canyon, a powerful waterfall drops from hundreds of feet overhead inviting the adventurer to cool off in a deep pool of water surrounded by caverns in a rocky hollow that’s great for swimming! Later in the evening, return to camp for evening leisure.

Before breakfast, depart for birding safari exploring Lake Natron on foot to the home of flamingos, Lake Natron itself. Lake Natron is a shallow alkaline-saline soda lake fed by groundwater that attracts up to 2.5 million flamingos. Lake Natron is a major breeding location for flamingos migrating from Lake Manyara to the south and other Rift Valley soda lakes. It’s quite captivating walking in Natron. After an amazing walking safari with the spectacular background of Mt. Oldonyo Lengai, the Maasai Goddess, you will return to the camp for a hearty breakfast before boarding your safari vehicle for your journey to Northern Serengeti;.

After breakfast, depart for the final game drive in Northern Serengeti before heading down to Central Serengeti, the heart of Serengeti with so much to offer in terms of wildlife and landscape! Serengeti offers everyday's opportunities to spot Tanzania’s most impressive wildlife. You will descend into the heart of wild Africa-the Serengeti national park-with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eyes can see. You will head to the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River that provides a valuable water source to this zone and hence attracts wildlife representative of most of the Serengeti’s species including lions, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, giraffes, a great number of hippos and abundant birdlife.

You will enjoy a hearty breakfast, before departing for your final game drive in Serengeti and yet more heart-stopping photo opportunities! Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place for hot lunch before setting off to Olduvai Gorge, the archeological, where Louis and Mary Leakey’s discovered early humans and magnificent antiquities documenting the evolutionary history of our stone tool-using ancestors, vertebrate fauna, and the environments over the last two million years. Later on, proceed to the crater viewpoint, you will stand on the rim and gaze a spectacular half mile down to the Crater floor and out over its 100 square mile expanse before driving further to your lodging for dinner and overnight.

The Crater is a unique ecosystem of grass steppe and Acacia Forest inhabited by the Big Five as well as zebra, hippo, wildebeest, cheetah, and many more. Later on, ascend the crater and proceed to the airport.
