Welcome to the start of your safari and welcome to Tanzania!
On arrival at the Airport, a Tanzania Safari Essence representative will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel in town.
You will then get briefed on the luxury adventure that lies ahead prepared for you.
Depending on arrival time, you will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of this bustling town as you relax ready for the next day.
The streets of Arusha are fantastic places for you to learn a little more about local life in a northern Tanzanian city. Apart from the endless fascination of life on these busy streets, there are museums, markets, and a rewarding local food scene for you to experience.

Day 2
Arusha to Northern Serengeti National Park by Air
Arusha to Northern Serengeti National Park by Air
Early in the morning after breakfast, you'll be transferred to Arusha Airport ready for your flight to Kogatende in the northern Serengeti National Park.
Upon arrival, you will meet our driver-guide who will take you to your luxury camp before heading out for your first day of game drive in the Serengeti.
You do have so much to look forward to on your visit to the Northern Serengeti. The varied landscape of rolling hills, grasslands, light woodlands, and the Mara River should be the scene for some fantastic animal encounters. Watch especially for elephants and big cats. And the safari trails up in the park's north are generally much quieter than they are elsewhere in the park.
Around lunch time you will head back to the camp for lunch and relaxation then afterwards have another game drive for the afternoon.
You will get back to the camp just in time for the sundowner.

Join us for one of the highlights of your safari when we take you out for a bush breakfast in Northern Serengeti National Park this morning.
This morning you get to go on a guided game drive which is always a safari highlight. It's an especially good way to explore Northern Serengeti National Park and get to know the wildlife and the animals that you might see.

Slow down and take a break as we serve you lunch.
Afternoon
Come with us for a guided game drive this afternoon in Northern Serengeti National Park. As always when Africa's animals are involved, there's so much for you to look forward to.

Day 4
Northern to Central Serengeti by Road
Northern to Central Serengeti by Road
There's nowhere in Tanzania where you have a better chance of seeing big cats than in the Central Serengeti. You'll also see lots of other animals as you explore the savannah grasslands and silhouetted acacia trees with us. This is the Serengeti's heartland and it is the most popular area of the park, but with very good reason.
Today you will do a transfer game drive as you move from northern to central Serengeti.
You'll have your packed lunch along the way.
Upon arrival, you will check in to your camp and spend the night under the starry African skies.

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Early Morning
Keep an eye out for wildlife early this morning as our transfer to the next part of your safari doubles as a game drive.
After Arrival
Your guided game drive down into and around Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best safari experiences you can have in East Africa. Watch for lions, hyenas, black rhinos, and more as you spend most of the day exploring the crater floor.

Join us for a picnic in Ngorongoro Crater.
Evening
After another guided game drive in the crater, you'll be transferred to your lodge in Karatu just outside the conservation area. Relax and take it easy to allow yourself to both process and recover from all of the excitement that you’ve enjoyed on your safari so far.

Day 6
Ngorongoro to Manyara National Park then fly out to Arusha
Ngorongoro to Manyara National Park then fly out to Arusha
Today you'll check out of the lodge early after breakfast and head down to Lake Manyara National Park.
Flanked by the Great Rift Valley escarpment on one side and Lake Manyara on the other, the park is among the narrowest parks in Africa with much of its game concentrated in the forest in between the escarpment and the lake.
In no time you would have completed the tour but sure of seeing large herds of buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes, and if lucky enough, the tree-climbing lions of this park.
You will have your packed lunch at a picnic site before heading out to the Airstrip just outside the park for your short flight to Arusha.
