Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, check out from your Amboseli accommodation and begin the journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, a 5-6 hour drive (approximately 320 km). The drive is scenic, and as you approach Nakuru, the landscape will change from open savannah to the more forested and hilly terrain surrounding the park. Upon arrival in Lake Nakuru, check in at your lodge, then have lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive within the park, famous for its flamingo populations (although they can be migratory), as well as a wide variety of birds and wildlife. Today is dedicated to exploring the vast plains of Maasai Mara, where you’ll have the chance to witness the incredible wildlife, including the "Big Five" (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceroses), as well as cheetahs, hyenas, and a variety of bird species. You can opt for an early morning hot air balloon safari (optional activity at an extra cost).
