Your journey begins with a pickup from Entebbe International Airport, just a short 15-minute drive, before you settle into your hotel in Entebbe. You will gather with your gorilla trekking safari trip specialist for an exciting briefing just before dinner.

Alternatively, there are exciting activities available around Entebbe to keep you engaged upon your early arrival. For instance, exploring the birdlife in the botanical gardens, strolling to the markets, indulging in some shopping, or embarking on a boat ride to Mabamba swamps to glimpse the magnificent shoebill and countless other unique African species.

Your personal driver guide will meet you at your hotel bright and early, ready to hit the road by 6:30 am for an exciting day ahead. The lengthy journey from Entebbe to Kisoro spans approximately 9 hours along a well-paved road. The final stretch along the dirt road lasts around an hour and a half, winding through breathtaking landscapes that captivate the senses on the way to the lodge.
You will pause for lunch along the journey at the traditional drum-making artists, the equator providing perfect opportunities for Instagram moments. The driver will pause at any spot you wish to seize an unforgettable photography opportunity.

Your butler will have you ready to embark on your day by 7:00 am, equipped with a packed lunch, the perfect trekking gear, refreshing drinking water, and a sturdy walking stick. The briefing for the Uganda gorilla trekking adventure kicks off at 7:30 am at the visitor’s centre.

8:00 am: Your tracking guide and two armed rangers will take you and six fellow adventurers deep into the rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla group. Time spent searching for the gorillas can vary, but once you locate them, you have the opportunity to watch them for around an hour from a distance of 10 meters. Alternatively, you can spend around four hours observing the gorillas if you secure a gorilla habituation pass.

Your experience in the forest is always unique, with each day offering something new and unexpected. However, most trekkers emerge from the jungle by 2:00 pm, wearing a satisfied grin.

We suggest indulging in a massage at the lodge spa upon your return, followed by a tranquil evening.

Venture once more into the enigmatic jungle to encounter the gorillas again. Consider teaming up with the rangers for an immersive experience that allows you to spend more time with the gorillas. Just keep in mind that securing your trekking permit in advance is essential.
Embark on a journey to Lake Mutanda for a traditional dug-out canoeing experience, surrounded by breathtaking views of the volcanic lake.
Embark on a forest walk along the Batwa Forest Trail or the Circular Trail through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; this time, it is not just about gorillas, but the enchanting wonders of the jungle that await you.
