Day 1

At the airport you will be warmly welcomed by our Safari representative, who will drive you strait to Tarangire National Park. This vast park spans 2,600 square kilometers and is renowned for its large elephant herds and giant baobab trees. During the dry season, it hosts a mini-wildlife migration with around 250,000 animals entering the park.

Explore the park and witness over 300-strong herds of elephants, big groups of buffalo, and healthy populations of lions and leopards. During the dry season, Tarangire boasts the highest concentration of mammals in Tanzania. Look out for wild dogs, rare antelopes like gerenuk, and over 550 bird species year-round.

The crater floor consists of diverse habitats, including grasslands, swamps, forests, and lakes filled by the Munge River. These attract wildlife to drink, wallow, graze, hide, or climb.
