Nairobi to Masai Mara

You will depart early from Nairobi, embarking on a scenic journey through the Great Rift Valley with a brief stop to admire the breathtaking views. Continuing through the vast plains, you will arrive at the Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp. After a short rest, you will head out for an afternoon game drive, where you may spot elephants, lions, cheetahs, and an array of other wildlife against the stunning backdrop of the Mara’s golden savannah. As the sun sets, you will return to your accommodation for a hearty dinner and an evening of relaxation under the African sky.

This day is dedicated to a full-day game drive, allowing you to explore the depths of the Masai Mara in search of the Big Five lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and buffalo. You will traverse the reserve’s diverse landscapes, from open plains to acacia-dotted woodlands, with opportunities to witness incredible wildlife interactions. If visiting during the Great Migration season, you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River, an unforgettable spectacle. A picnic lunch in the heart of the reserve enhances the experience, keeping you immersed in nature throughout the day. Optionally, you may visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about their fascinating culture and way of life before returning to camp for dinner and overnight rest.
