Nairobi to Maasai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive

Your safari begins with a 7:00 AM pickup in Nairobi for a 5-6 hour scenic drive to Maasai Mara, passing through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photos and Narok town for a brief stop. You arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and some relaxation.

At 3:30 PM, you embark on an afternoon game drive, exploring the vast savannah teeming with wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and antelopes. As the sun sets, you soak in the breathtaking golden landscapes before returning to camp by 6:30 PM.

After freshening up, enjoy a delicious dinner, followed by storytelling around a bonfire where guides share insights on Maasai culture and Mara’s wildlife. You then retire for the night, ready for the next day's adventures.

Sunrise Game Drive, Optional Balloon Safari & Maasai Village Visit, Return to Nairobi

Your day starts early at 4:30 AM if you opt for a hot air balloon safari, offering breathtaking aerial views of the Mara at sunrise, followed by a champagne breakfast. Alternatively, a 6:00 AM game drive gives you a chance to spot predators and other wildlife in the cool morning hours.

After the morning adventure, you return to camp for breakfast. An optional Maasai village visit follows, where you experience their culture, traditional homes, and warrior dances. By 10:30 AM, you check out and begin the 5-6 hour drive back to Nairobi, stopping in Narok for a quick break. You arrive in Nairobi around 4:00-5:00 PM, marking the end of your incredible safari.
