After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin your safari adventure. Enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The park, named after the Tarangire River, is known for being the only water source for wildlife during the Dry season. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Spanning 2,850 square kilometers, you’ll spend the day exploring with game drives, stopping for a picnic lunch by the river. In the evening, enjoy one last game drive before heading to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 2

Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll depart from Mto wa Mbu for a scenic 5-hour drive to Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you'll stop at the Ngorongoro Crater for a brief 20-minute break to take in the stunning views from the viewpoint.

For a cultural experience, opt for a visit to a Maasai village, where you can learn about the Maasai people's rich heritage, including their history of lion hunting and their unique practices, such as drinking raw animal blood.

Arriving in Serengeti in the late afternoon, you'll embark on a game drive in the Seronera area, the heart of the Serengeti. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset and keep an eye out for wildlife, including the possibility of witnessing predators in action. Finish your day with a delicious meal at the lodge.

After breakfast, we'll head to Lake Manyara National Park for an exciting game drive. You'll have the chance to spot a wide variety of birds, and if you're fortunate, you might even catch sight of the iconic tree-climbing lions. We’ll also visit the hippo pool for a close-up view of these fascinating creatures, as well as the park's hot springs. Today, you'll explore the stunning waterfalls, with your guide sharing fascinating insights about the Chagga people, their village life, and the local flora and fauna. The views are breathtaking, and with luck, you may even see the summit of Kilimanjaro. The waterfalls, towering over 80 meters, lead to a refreshing pool perfect for a swim—be sure to bring your swimwear! Afterward, you'll return to Materuni village for a traditional Chagga lunch and a taste of local banana beer. A highlight of the tour is the coffee experience, where you'll make and savor coffee while enjoying Chagga songs and dances. Then, we'll drive back to Arusha and drop you at your hotel, marking the end of the safari.
