3-Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Lake Bunyonyi Tour

Arrival in Kigali (Early), Pick Up and Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

This tour will begin with a morning pick up by our tour guide from either Kigali International Airport or Hotel in Kigali (between 08:30AM and 10:00AM); you will then be briefed by our tour guide about the tour and later, set off for the drive to Bwindi Forest National Park. En-route, you will have a brief city tour to Gisozi Genocide Memorial site and Kigali Museum, some local shops or market centers accordingly. Later, proceed with your drive to the Uganda Rwanda border, after immigration clearance, you will cross into Uganda with your tour driver guide and have lunch. You will arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening; check in at your lodge, have dinner and relax as you get ready for the next day's gorilla trekking exercise.

Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Forest NP and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for Relaxation

After breakfast, head to Bwindi Forest Park Headquarters by 7:00AM. Once here, engage in morning briefing and registration before the gorilla trekking exercise. You will be briefed by the park rangers on the Do's and Don'ts when trekking for the mountain gorillas. They will provide you with highlights on what to expect while trekking for these endangered gorillas. You will be allocated to your hiking group according to your ability (always inform your tour guide your preferred hike ranging from Easy, Medium & Tough). With your hiking gear, embark on the gorilla trekking exercise, lasting from a few hours to several hours depending on the day's movement of the gorillas as they search for fresh food and water. On finding them, spend an hour with them; observing their behaviors as they play, eat, tease & nurture their young ones. Take as many photos as you can. Later, meet your tour guide for a drive back to the lodge, have lunch & set off for the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

Return to Kigali and Departure

Upon rising, have breakfast at leisure; taking in the beautiful views of Lake Bunyoyi Islands. Later, check out of the lodge and set off for the drive back to Kigali. You will be dropped off at either a hotel in Kigali (this can be arranged on request at an extra cost) or Kigali International Airport depending on your arrangements.
