Arusha - Serengeti National Park
The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word "Siringitu," meaning endless plains. You'll see why as you take in the vast grassland savannah that stretches to the horizon, interrupted only by kopjes—unique rock formations created by weathered granite. These plains are prime hunting grounds for leopards and other big cats, and you will be able to observe them from an open roof vehicle. In the afternoon, you'll arrive in the Seronera Valley in the central Serengeti, where you'll camp in safari-style tents and enjoy a meal amidst the African bush.

After breakfast, you'll continue your game drive through Serengeti National Park, where you'll encounter vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and, with some luck, lions, leopards, and cheetahs in the Seronera Valley. After a picnic lunch, you'll head towards the Ngorongoro Crater. As you approach the crater's edge, you'll be greeted by an awe-inspiring view of this natural wonder. You’ll camp on the crater's edge for the night, soaking in the stunning scenery as the sun sets.

Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater. As the largest unbroken caldera, the crater boasts an incredible diversity of wildlife. On the grass steppe and within the acacia tree woodlands, you'll find nearly all species common to the East African savannah, with the exceptions of topis, Masai giraffes, and impalas. Often, you can observe the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard) within just a few hours. Later, you'll drive to the airport, where you can catch your flight back on the same night or the following day.
