Often referred to as the "eighth Natural Wonder of the World," the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera on the planet. Approximately 2 million years ago, the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed, creating a natural enclosure with 600-meter-high walls. Today, this vast crater, spanning over 19 km wide, is home to a variety of habitats, including acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. The crater supports a diverse range of wildlife, including over 30,000 animals such as elephants, warthogs, flamingos, an impressive array of bird species, the rare black rhino, and the predatory big cats. Maasai herders their normal life.
