Day 1

Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Arusha, where you'll meet your guide and set off towards Tarangire National Park, home to some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This diverse landscape, dotted with ancient baobab trees, is also a prime location to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest.

As you explore the park on a thrilling game drive, you’ll witness Tarangire’s stunning wildlife, including its famous tree-climbing pythons and over 500 bird species. A picnic lunch in the wild allows you to take in the beauty of your surroundings before continuing your safari.

By late afternoon, you’ll head to your midrange lodge, where you can relax and enjoy a hearty dinner.

After an early breakfast at Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu, your adventure continues as you drive through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to the legendary Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife havens.

Upon reaching the Serengeti, you’ll embark on an exciting game drive, exploring the vast golden plains teeming with wildlife. Expect to see the Big Five, cheetahs, hyenas, and large herds of zebras and wildebeest. If you’re visiting during the Great Migration, you may witness thousands of animals moving in search of fresh grazing land.

As the sun sets, you’ll arrive at Into Wild Africa Tented Camp, your accommodation for the night. Nestled in the heart of the Serengeti, this authentic tented camp offers an immersive bush experience, where you can enjoy dinner while listening to the distant sounds of lions and hyenas.

Serengeti - Full Day Safari in the Heart of the Wild

Spend a full day exploring the legendary Serengeti National Park, one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife destinations. Depending on the season, witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in search of fresh grazing land.

Your game drive takes you deep into the park, where you'll encounter the Big Five, cheetahs, hyenas, and countless other species. The Serengeti’s vast plains offer incredible wildlife sightings at every turn.

For a unique perspective, you can choose an optional hot air balloon safari (available at an extra cost and subject to availability) to experience the sunrise over the Serengeti from above. Lunch will be served at a scenic picnic spot before continuing your game drive.

As the day ends, return to Into Wild Africa Tented Camp, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and listen to the sounds of the African wilderness at night.

Ngorongoro Crater - Exploring Africa's Eden

After an early breakfast at Into Wild Africa Tented Camp, you’ll depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera.

Descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll enter a unique ecosystem teeming with wildlife. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best places to spot the rare black rhino, alongside lions, leopards, elephants, and hippos. The crater’s lakes and swamps also attract large flocks of flamingos, geese, storks, and other bird species.

Lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic picnic site by Ngoitoktok Swamp, where hippos wallow in the water. After an unforgettable day in the crater, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha.

Accommodation after the tour can be arranged upon request for an additional cost. Transfers to Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha are also available. Extend your adventure with a Zanzibar beach holiday for the perfect end to your trip.
