Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
We will meet and pick you up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi, then depart by road for Amboseli National Park. We'll arrive in time for lunch and then have an optional afternoon or evening game drive, offering many attractions apart from its wildlife.
Amboseli National Park is located south of Nairobi. Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lakebed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland, while in the southern area, there are several small rocky volcanic hills. Around the swamps of Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms.
Dinner and overnight are at your lodge (full board).

You'll rise early for breakfast and good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit. A packed lunch will be provided.
An optional visit to a Maasai village can be planned after breakfast. The visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in Africa to experience elephants at close range. Left unharassed by poachers, elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps must form the highlights of any safari.

After breakfast at the lodge, you'll check out and depart for Masai Mara, arriving for lunch at your lodge. At 15h00, you'll depart for an afternoon game drive. Explore Masai Mara, Kenya's finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary, where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight.
The first sight of this game park is breathtaking. There is nowhere else on earth to compare with this wildlife marvel. The combination of a gentle climate, scenic splendor and untold numbers of wildlife makes the Masai Mara National Reserve Kenya's most popular inland destination.
Centuries of close association with wildlife have resulted in an almost symbiotic relationship where wildlife and Maasai people live in peace with one another. Day 5
Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart for a full day game drive at 08h30, enjoying about 6 hours of extensive game drives in the Mara. This full-day safari game drive will enable you to discover other areas of the Masai Mara National Reserve. At 13h00, you will enjoy a picnic in the vastness of the Mara.
The reserve is famous for its exceptional population of game and the migration of the wildebeest, which occurs every year in July and August. Animals have no respect for boundaries, and hundreds of buffalo and wildebeest can be seen at certain times of the year, as part of the Mara lies across their migration route from the Serengeti in Tanzania. All the Big Five can be found - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino - as well as nearly every other kind of animal found in all the other parks in Kenya, such as plains zebra, giraffe, Coke's hartebeest, topi, impala, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, Defassa waterbuck, buffalo and cheetah.
