Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

In the morning, your dedicated safari guide will meet you at your lodge in Arusha and drive you along a scenic route to Tarangire National Park, where you'll pass by Maasai in their vibrant attire.

Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife. In your open-roof safari Jeep, you'll journey through swamps, savannas, and along the Tarangire River, where you'll spot zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and giraffes. Be on the lookout for elusive lions and leopards as well.

After breakfast, embark on a journey to the fertile highlands, where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat and corn. Along the way, you'll pass through the misty rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may spot baboons, leopards, and elephants amid the lush undergrowth.

As you continue through the conservation area, enjoy breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater before heading towards the Serengeti National Park, arriving around midday. The Serengeti, Tanzania's largest park, boasts diverse landscapes ranging from vast grassy plains to swamps, lakes, savannahs, and towering mountains.

Following an exciting game drive, you'll head to your accommodation for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

In addition to the Big Five, the crater’s numerous springs draw a variety of animals such as wildebeests, gazelles, reedbucks, and over 500 bird species. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch before resuming your wildlife viewing within the crater.

After the afternoon game drive, head to a nearby lodge located on the crater rim, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night, soaking in the stunning views.
