Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, we set off for Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that runs through it. This "river of warthogs" serves as the only water source for wildlife during the dry season. The park features dense vegetation, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant families, often seen gathering near the river, along with giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These animals are frequently followed by predators such as lions and leopards. With more breeding bird species than anywhere else on Earth, Tarangire also boasts Tanzania’s largest elephant population, providing the perfect opportunity to see these majestic creatures in their natural habitat—from playful calves to imposing bulls. After a packed lunch, we proceed to our accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Eileen's Tree Inn or a similar lodge.

Ngorongoro Cater to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, we head to the Ngorongoro Crater. As you approach, the crater appears like a hidden world. Here, you’ll have the chance to spot the rare black rhino and large prides of lions. Formed millions of years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed, Ngorongoro is renowned for its unique geological features and its status as a natural reserve, home to some of the highest concentrations of large mammals in Africa. The descent into the crater is an adventure in itself, and once you reach the floor, you'll be surrounded by wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The crater offers one of the best opportunities to see the endangered black rhino, often grazing on the open grasslands. After a packed lunch, we drive to Serengeti National Park for dinner and an overnight stay at Sound Of Nature Tented Camp.

Serengeti National Park
We’ll start the day with an early breakfast before heading out on our game drive around 6:30 am. With 6 to 7 hours to explore, we’ll have plenty of time to discover the wonders of the Serengeti. This vast park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos. However, it’s best known for its incredible migrating herds—250,000 zebras, 1.5 million wildebeest, and half a million antelope. The migration route is guided by rainfall patterns, changing each year. In addition to the herds, we’ll likely spot predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions in action, hunting across the plains. After all your exploration, we will drive to the lodge for overnight stay at Sound Of Nature Tented Camp.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After an early breakfast at the lodge, we’ll take a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Located 120 km west of Arusha, this relatively small yet diverse park is named after the shallow salt lake that covers about 70% of its area. Seasonally flooding and drying, the soda lake is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. As we explore the park, we’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in trees. Known for its varied landscapes, the park offers open grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands, and baobab-dotted cliffs. After a packed lunch, we’ll return to Arusha, bringing our adventure to a close, just in time for your flight back home or a flight to Zanzibar.
