Arrival and Transfer to your Hotel

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our Airport representative who will FastTrack you through Immigration and assist you with your luggage. They will then escort you to the pickup area where a member of our Kay Adventures Team will be awaiting you and hand you over to your transfer driver who will drop you at the Nairobi Hotel.

Visit to Giraffe centre and Nairobi National Park

We shall pick you up from your hotel and depart for the game drive to Nairobi National park for a 5-hour exploration looking out for lion, leopard, white and black rhino, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, ostrich, birdlife, and other game. We’ll also take a guided walking tour of the hippo pool trails. Later the driver will drop you at the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife Giraffe Centre - locally referred to as The Giraffe Centre - plays a pivotal role in conserving the critically endangered Rothschild giraffe (which differ from other giraffe subspecies as they have no patterning below the knee). Numbers were dwindling quickly due to habitat encroachment and mass hunting; before conservation initiatives began, approximately 100 Rothschild's giraffes remained in the wild. From the raised wooden structure (giraffe height), you can watch the giraffes up-close and hand feed them. You may also observe warthogs snuffling at their hooves, scavenging on the fallen pellets.

Depart Nairobi For Maasai Mara

After a hearty breakfast you will depart for Masai Mara National Reserve which is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Serena Safari Lodge with an enroute game drive. Check in and lunch followed by a short siesta.
Depart for an afternoon game drive.
Refresh, dinner and overnight at Mara.

Enjoy Diani with an excursion to Wasini Island

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Shimon further south of Diani where you will board a traditional Arabic white-sailed dhow on an exciting excursion to look for dolphins and it may be possible to jump overboard and swim with them. You will then sail into the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park for snorkeling and the protected area has a high diversity of marine life with fringing and offshore reefs with hard and soft corals. The water is pure, warm and turquoise in colour, and there are thousands of fish in a dazzling array of sizes, shapes and colors just below the surface. On tiny Wasini Island, which lies just offshore from Shimon and falls within the marine park, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch and you’ll be given a talk about the Swahili people and the Arab history of this part of the coast. Then enjoy a relaxed afternoon spent lazing on day beds in the restaurant gardens before returning to your resort.
