Nairobi - Amboseli National park

After pick-up from Nairobi or the airport, you depart for Amboseli National Park. The drive is via the Nairobi-Mombasa highway and through Masai country, as you head to Amboseli which lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is famous for its big herds of elephants. The elephants, lions, and cheetahs are the main attractions as well as the park's great scenery. Amboseli embodies 5 main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lake-bed, Lake Amboseli. There are open plains, extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland, rocky lava-strewn thorn-bush country, swamps and marshes.

At the western end of the reserve, above Namanga, the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok rises to over 2,760m (8.300ft) and is still for the most part zoologically unexplored. You will arrive in time for lunch, and later enjoy your afternoon game drive in Amboseli National Park. Full board accommodation is included in the tour price. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
