Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Begin your safari adventure with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi Airport where
You’ll be met by your safari guide who will be with you for the duration of the trip.
Embark on a scenic drive. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours, passing through beautiful landscapes, villages, and the Great Rift Valley. After arriving in Samburu, you’ll be welcomed at your Lodge.
Check-in to your room where you can refresh and get ready for your safari adventures.
Enjoy a hearty buffet lunch at the lodge. The food includes a variety of local and international dishes to suit all tastes.
After lunch, you’ll head out for your first game drive in the Samburu National Reserve.
This is a great time to spot wildlife, including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Of course, you’ll also likely see lions, elephants, cheetahs, and other game.
After your game drive, return to the lodge for a delicious dinner.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve.
The cooler morning hours are the best time to spot active wildlife. You’ll have the opportunity to see the Samburu Special Five, as well as the Big Five, including elephants, lions, and leopards.
Your experienced guide will take you to prime locations for wildlife sightings.
After the morning drive, head back to Samburu Sopa Lodge for a buffet breakfast.
After lunch, you can take some time to relax at the lodge, enjoy the stunning views, or cool off in the pool.
After a relaxing afternoon, set out for an exciting afternoon game drive.
You’ll explore different parts of the reserve and potentially spot more of Samburu’s unique wildlife, including rare species like the Grevy’s zebra and Somali ostrich.
The late afternoon provides another great chance to catch wildlife in action, and you may also witness beautiful sunset views over the reserve.
head back to your lodge in the evening for a rest.
