Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi Airport/hotel, followed by a scenic drive through central Kenya, passing through Mount Kenya’s foothills. Stop briefly at Nanyuki town for refreshments before continuing north, crossing the equator into Samburu County. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Explore Samburu’s diverse landscapes, from open savannahs to riverine forests, and encounter unique wildlife species only found in this region. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samburu National Reserve Full-Day Game Drive

Spend the day exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Spot the "Samburu Special Five"—Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, and the gerenuk—alongside lions, elephants, leopards, and cheetahs. Drive along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, where crocodiles bask on the banks, and herds of elephants come to drink. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild or return to the lodge for a relaxed midday break. In the late afternoon, enjoy a game drive or opt for a cultural visit to a Samburu village to learn about their traditions and lifestyle.
