You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport and transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. Along the way, you'll stop at the equator for a photo opportunity and to experience this iconic global landmark. Afterward, continue to Mbarara for lunch, and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth, arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Today you’ll go for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you'll spot a variety of wildlife, including African elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, impalas, and numerous bird species. Afterward, you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast, relaxation, and lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel within Queen Elizabeth Park, where you'll get up close to hippos, crocodiles, and other aquatic life, as well as a variety of birds on the bay. Enjoy an early breakfast, prepare your packed lunch box, and then head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don'ts of gorilla trekking. Afterward, proceed to the starting point of the gorilla trek. Gorilla trekking can be strenuous, depending on your fitness and interest, and may take anywhere from 30 minutes to up to three-quarters of the day. Along the way, you'll learn about birds, trees, and other wildlife in the forest, with opportunities to take photos while observing the gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the headquarters to receive your gorilla trekking certificate. You’ll then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, home to 29 islands and a haven for birdwatchers. The lake’s bilharzia-free waters make it safe for swimming. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the resort.

After an early breakfast, you’ll embark on a boat cruise tour on Lake Bunyonyi, where you'll explore the 29 charming islands, including the historic Punishment Island. The boat cruise offers a chance to spot various small bird species and catch glimpses of the scenic surrounding hills. After this memorable experience, you’ll begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport for your scheduled flight home. You’ll eat lunch en route and stop at the equator to make a few last memories before ending your tour.
