Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya (approximately 5-6 hours by road or 1 hour by flight).
Upon arrival, check into your lodge. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Samburu, where you can start capturing the unique wildlife, including the Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. The rugged, dry landscapes and the Ewaso Ng'iro River offer dramatic backdrops for photography.

Head out for a second game drive in the afternoon. Samburu’s riverbanks are perfect for capturing wildlife interactions, particularly herds of elephants drinking from the river, giraffes grazing in the distance, and zebras standing out against the arid landscape.

Begin the day with a final early morning game drive in Samburu, making the most of the last chance to photograph wildlife in this unique reserve. Look for any species you may have missed and enjoy the morning light over the river and surrounding terrain. After the game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast. Afterward, depart for Lake Bogoria (approximately 3 hours by road). Upon arrival at Lake Bogoria, check into your accommodation and enjoy lunch while soaking in the stunning views of the alkaline lake. In the afternoon, head out to explore the lake and its surroundings, renowned for its large flocks of flamingos and the spectacular hot springs and geysers. Capture the vibrant pink flamingos wading in the shallow waters and the dramatic landscapes created by the geothermal activity. The contrast of the turquoise lake, pink flamingos, and steam from the geysers makes for stunning photos.

Take a break during the midday heat and relax at your lodge or camp. You can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and review your photos from the morning game drive.

On your final day, enjoy an early morning game drive for one last chance to capture the wildlife of the Masai Mara. This is a great time to photograph predators during the cooler hours or to capture Mara’s wide-open landscapes bathed in the soft early morning light.
Return to your lodge for breakfast and then prepare for your departure back to Nairobi. You will move by road that will take a bout 4-5 hours Once you arrive in Nairobi, you can either proceed to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight or enjoy a few extra hours in the city if you have time. If you're heading to the airport, make sure to leave ample time for check-in and security.
