Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, we will pick you up and depart for Tarangire National Park. We will enjoy a full day of game drives with a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is famous for its large herds of elephants, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife, including lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, and over 550 bird species. The Tarangire River attracts animals during the dry season, making it a prime spot for wildlife viewing. Overnight, we will be in a Lodge at Karatu.

After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a full day of game drives with a picnic lunch in the park. Lake Manyara is known for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and diverse ecosystems, including the lake, groundwater forests, and open plains. The park is home to elephants, giraffes, hippos, and over 400 bird species. The alkaline lake attracts thousands of flamingos and other waterbirds, creating a stunning visual spectacle. After breakfast, we will depart to the Ndutu area situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation area, which is part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Enjoying an en-route game. The Serengeti is world-famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. During the calving season (December-March), witness thousands of wildebeest giving birth, attracting predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The vast plains, rocky outcrops (kopjes), and abundant wildlife make the Serengeti a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight will be at a Lodge or tented camp in the Serengeti.

After breakfast, we will proceed for a full day of game drives in the wilderness tracking the Great Migration trails. Our experienced driver tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which makes Tanzania the top safari destination in Africa. Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site is home to around 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle joining the wildebeest's trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over 6 million hooves pounding the open plains of Serengeti just like how you imagined African wildlife to be. Overnight will be at Lodge or tented camp in Serengeti hot air balloon prices are separate from the total price. (It's I's an optional activity).

We will have an early breakfast and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing with a picnic lunch. The crater is a natural wonder, teeming with wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino). The crater floor features diverse habitats, from grassland to forests, and is home to over 25,000 animals. Spot flamingos at Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake within the crater. Overnight will be at a Lodge or camp in Karatu.

After breakfast, we will drive to Mto wa Mbu Village. Enjoy a cultural tour, including a walk through the village, banana plantation tours, and interactions with local artisans. (Bicycle Tour is Optional at an extra cost) Participating in traditional dances and enjoy a local lunch. Mto wa Mbu is a vibrant village known for its cultural diversity, with over 120 tribes represented. Learn about local farming practices, sample traditional dishes, and shop for handmade crafts. Afternoon, we will drive back to Arusha for departure or overnight stay.
