Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Our budget safari to the Masai Mara begins with a pick-up between 6:00am and 7:30am from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi. Your safari tour guide and driver will take you to a viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and through Narok town. As we journey deeper into the Masai plains, we will check into our camp upon arrival, have lunch, and head out for our first game drive in the afternoon.

The Masai Mara is renowned for having the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa throughout the year. You can expect to see elephants roaming the savannah, lion prides and large herds of buffalo. Other wildlife, such as zebras, giraffes, gazelles, cheetahs, and warthogs, will also greet you, offering an amazing and beautiful welcome to your first day of the Kenya safari tour, which will continue until sunset.

Dinner and overnight accommodations will be provided at the camp or lodge.

Masai Mara National Reserve

The day begins with breakfast, and at 8:00am, we set off with picnic lunches for an extensive game drive. The Masai Mara is home to diverse wildlife and boasts a significant concentration of wildlife. The landscape features a beautiful savanna that stretches endlessly to the horizon. Our knowledgeable guides will help you appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of this park, allowing you to immerse yourself in all its sights and sounds fully.

As we venture through the Masai Mara plains, we will arrive at the Mara River, a hotspot for wildlife migration where you can spot crocodiles and hippos. We will enjoy our picnic lunch beside a hippo pool, taking in the views of these incredible animals. If you visit between July and October, you may be fortunate enough to witness the great migration, one of the most spectacular annual events in the reserve, renowned worldwide.

Game viewing will continue until 5:00pm, after which we will return to the camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

After breakfast, we will head to a Maasai village for an optional cultural experience. There, you will have the opportunity to listen to their fascinating stories and get a glimpse into their daily routine. Following this visit, we will exit the Masai Mara region and make our way to Nairobi. Your guide will drop you off at either your hotel or the airport. This will conclude your 3-day adventure in the Masai Mara.
