Arrival

19h15: The arrival at the Kigali International Airport. Meet & greet by Akagera Aviation.
They will assist you with fast track customs and immigration clearance (visa processing). Once done, you will pick your luggage from the conveyer belt and proceed to the exit.
Our representative will be waiting outside to welcome you. Transfer to your hotel. Check in assistance. Dinner will follow. Overnight stay in superior queen double room.

Kigali- Lake Kivu(3 hours drive) Kigali City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. 09h00: Proceed on a guided city tour that will include visits to the Kigali Genocide memorial, museum for campaign against genocide and finish with Niyo art, if time permits, you will visit the local market.

The Kigali Genocide Memorial, Rwanda’s most significant landmark, offers a moving and educational experience. Set in beautiful rose gardens, it presents the history of the genocide, global genocides, and personal stories through victims’ photos and belongings. Though emotional, it provides crucial context on Rwanda’s past and progress, while also educating future generations to ensure history is never repeated. Have lunch at the Pili pili Restaurant or Hotel des milles collins. At 14h30, have a leisurely scenic drive to Lake Kivu via Musanze. There will be a brief toilet break en route. Arrive in the evening at 17h00 and assisted with check in over a welcome drink. Dinner will follow at 19h00. Overnight stay.

Visit Bogogwe, Kayaking & city tour

Have breakfast at the lodge, then transfer to Bigogwe near Lake Kivu, where you will enjoy a three-hour experience.

Is known for its vast green pastures, rolling hills, and dairy farms. It offers visitors an authentic rural experience, including horseback riding, farm visits, and cultural interactions with local herders. The stunning landscapes provide a perfect setting for nature walks and photography, making Bigogwe a peaceful retreat for those seeking adventure and cultural immersion near Lake Kivu.
After this wonderful experience, return to your lodge for lunch. You will then proceed to Lake Kivu for a one-hour kayaking session to enjoy the serene waters. Afterwards, continue with a city tour of Gisenyi.
Kayaking in Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s Great Lakes, offers a peaceful and scenic experience surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.
Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Whitewater Rafting adventure & Leisure

Have breakfast at the lodge, then transfer to River Mukungwa for an exciting whitewater adventure.
Rafting on the Lower Mukungwa River in Rwanda is an exciting Grade 3 adventure, lasting a couple of hours. Located in Rwanda’s Northern Province, River Mukungwa is a scenic waterway flowing through lush landscapes and rolling hills. It is a tributary of the Nyabarongo River and plays a crucial role in the region’s ecosystem, supporting agriculture and local wildlife.

For this thrilling rafting experience, we were fortunate to be joined by Sadat Kawawa, an expert rafter known for taming the fearsome waters of the White Nile. After this wonderful experience, transfer back to the lodge for a late lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your leisure time and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
