Day 1

Morning: The Rift Valley landscape drifts past as your guide heads for Tarangire National Park, the least visited reserve on the itinerary but one capable of delivering fantastic game viewing. Home to Tanzania’s biggest elephant population, Tarangire supports large numbers of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and many antelope species, most evident during the dry season when concentrations of animals at the life-giving Tarangire River are at their peak June-October. Explore the park’s rich habitats from the life-giving River, a landscape dotted with baobab trees, swamps, and open plains at your own pace. Here you may see lion, cheetah, leopard, impala, and a good count of birdlife.
Lunch: We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.
Afternoon: After lunch, we’ll continue our game-viewing drive to witness the wildlife of Tarangire National Park. Afterwards, we’ll head to our campsite in midst Tarangire wilderness.

Day 2
Tarangire National Park- Serengeti National Park

Rise and shine, we’ll start our safari early in the morning with a delightful breakfast, before embarking on a short drive from our lodge into the Ngorongoro conservation area. This is our getaway into the stunning Serengeti National Park, one of the largest, and most diverse national park in Tanzania.
Serengeti national park is renowned for its vast plains, great migration, which are home to numerous predators, including over 3000 lions, leopard, hyena, cheetah, and other animals. As we explore the park, we’ll be on the lookout for these amazing creatures, and soak in the breathtaking landscape of the open plains dotted with kopjes.
Lunch: picnic
Afternoon: Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national Park, enjoying the landscape dotted with inselberg known as kopjes on the lookout for the big cats.

Day 3

Morning: We’ll set out to explore the vast expanse of the Serengeti, where the wildlife sightings are typically at their peak in the early mornings and late afternoons, when the temperature cools. The multitude and diversity of wildlife species in this huge protected area are unrivaled anywhere on the planet. Serengeti, in fact, is the Maasai word that means “endless plain.” We’ll return to camp in between game-viewing drives for lunch.
Lunch: picnic
Afternoon: After time to relax, we’ll head out on our afternoon game-viewing drive. Our guides will again help us identify the more elusive animal species, such as bat-eared fox and golden jackal, as well as rare birds like the purple grenadier and the red-cheeked cordon bleu. See if you can spot the odd-looking Secretary bird or the elegant grey crowned crane.

Day 4

The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands, which allow excellent wildlife sightings. The Serengeti’s climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. While it boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for its annual great migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope, move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing.
Lunch: We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.
Afternoon: (Optional) we’ll visiting the Oldupai gorge, and learn about the origin of human kind, and some time at the museum.

Day 5

Morning: Leave your campsite very early in the morning and descend 610 meters to the grasslands of the crater floor, an area of about 265 square kilometers. Despite its small size, the crater is a Big 5 country and the openness of the terrain means easy and rewarding game viewing. You will spend the day exploring the crater floor, stopping to picnic on the grasslands amidst the grazing herds. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption, the world’s largest intact and un-flooded caldera provides a year-round home to an astonishing 25,000 large mammals, including black rhino, wildebeest, and zebra, along with Africa’s densest concentrations of hyena.
Lunch: picnic
The crater’s forests shelter elephant and buffalo, and its wetlands are home to hippos and flamingos. Lions, jackals, leopards, and caracals make up the full range of predators.
Afternoon, leave the crater and drive back to Arusha. Your guide will drop you at the airport for your own-ward connection.
