Tarangire National Park

As the arrival is in the morning time, will start your safari with the packed lunch you will start with magnificent National Park-Tarangire National Park. This is Tanzania's fourth largest park offering diverse wildlife and scenery including giant baobab trees. It is home to the largest herds of elephants in East Africa!. These herds migrate along the wildlife corridor to nearby Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Animal populations here rival those of the Serengeti so you will have a chance to see wildebeests, zebras, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, gerenuks, and flocks of birds of various species.

Hadzabe- Hunter-Gatherer Community

After breakfast, we will drive to the Southwest end of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (with our packed lunch accompanied by a local guide) to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities which are the only remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa.

Ngorongoro - Olduvai Gorge (Mary Leakey Museum) - Ndutu

After getting early breakfast at the hotel at Manyara, with your packed lunch you drive to Ndutu via Olduvai Gorge (takes 4 to 6 hours). Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the northern plains of Ngorongoro Conservation Area, in which early human fossils were discovered. After learning from the site, you will have your lunch and then drive to Serengeti National Park. While on the way, you will have chances to view game before reaching the campsite/lodge in the evening.

Ndutu area Game Drive

We will start our day with a balloon safari, have breakfast and continue with game drive at Ndutu area. The Ndutu Area is part of Ngorongoro Conservation Area making boundary to the southern Serengeti. The great migration reaches here with its over two million animals to give birth to their calves and thousands of animals are born daily between the end of December and the beginning of March. This also attracts many predators like lions, Cheater and hyenas.

Tracking The Great Migration in Ndutu

Another day in Ndutu area, tracking the great Wildebeest migration where more than 2.5M Wildebeest will be in Ndutu area migrating to central Serengeti. These are the best friend of Zebras, as both accompany each other on migration.

Thereafter, late afternoon drive back to the Hotel for rest and overnight.

Half-Day Serengeti and Ngorongoro

After breakfast, with packed lunch you will drive southward towards the Ngorongoro conservation area with wildlife viewing on the way. You will have your lunch at Naabi Hill (exit gate in Serengeti) as you sign-in to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After lunch, proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and while on the way you will stop to one of the MaasaiBomas in the Ngorongoro Area to learn, experience and enjoy Maasai culture, their traditional dancing and handcrafts. You will arrive in your hotel in the evening for rest, dinner and overnight. Overnight in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Ngorongoro Crater

After early breakfast you will descend to the crater for early morning game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as the pride of lions that include the magnificent black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. You will enjoy your lunch at a picnic site in the crater floor and proceed with afternoon game drive. Overnight at Karatu.

Karatu to Arusha

In the morning, we will start our drive back to Arusha. We may stop for light excursions such as visiting the rural school that the majority of students are the Maasai, there is also small town of Mto wa Mbu where they have Rice field irrigation farming and you will also do lunch on the way before getting to Arusha for overnight.

Meru Village Tour & Tree Planting

Zanzibar was home to one of the largest slave markets in the world. In 1873 the world’s last open slave market closed. The last vestige of this horrific institution was located in Stone Town, Zanzibar. Enslaved people were transported to Zanzibar via overcrowded dhows. With little food, rampant disease, and appalling conditions, not all of the captives survived long enough to reach Zanzibar. Those who didn’t were thrown overboard. For those that did make it, another ordeal awaited, as they were sold at this site and then were likely shipped off to various Arab countries.
