Drive from Nairobi to Samburu

Start your safari with a pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Airport and drive to Samburu.
Drive past the densely populated central province, cross the equator at Nanyuki, drive by the western side of Mt. Kenya, then down to Isiolo and further to Samburu National Reserve arriving at Samburu on time for lunch.

After lunch go for afternoon game drive, the arid environment in Samburu a home to variety of North Kenya special. Both birds and mammals can be spotted easily. To be seen are herds of elephants, leopards, beisa oryx, lesser kudu, reticulated giraffe, gravy´s zebra and gerenuk.

In the late evening, return to the Lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Samburu Game Drive

This day is solely reserved for game viewing, with a flexible schedule plan. You can discuss with your Guide and plan either option 1 or 2.
Option 1: - After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge/camp, depart for the morning game drive.
After the morning drive return to the lodge for breakfast.
Rest in the morning at leisure, at your convenient time have lunch, and then rest in the afternoon at leisure.
After lunch depart on an afternoon game drive.
Late evening, return to lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Option 2 - Or you can exit the Lodge/camp for an optional whole day Game drive with picnic lunch to return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the Lodge/camp.
Alternatively, you can have an optional bush dinner in the wild under the African sky.

Drive from Samburu to Nairobi
