Today you will have a morning game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, followed by a scenic transfer to Serengeti National Park from Karatu. Early Morning depart from Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater Early breakfast at the lodge. Depart from Tarangire and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Gate. Descend 600 meters (2,000 feet) into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa. Morning Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater Explore the crater floor, home to over 25,000 animals, including: Big Five (Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Leopards, and Black Rhinos. Hippos in Gorigor Swamp. Flamingos & waterbirds at Lake Magadi. Cheetahs, hyenas, and large herds of zebras and wildebeests. Midday: Drive to Serengeti National Park. Exit Ngorongoro and start the drive to Serengeti National Park via the Naabi Hill Gate. Stop at Naabi Hill for lunch and registration. Enter Serengeti and enjoy an en-route game drive toward your lodge/camp.

Driving from Serengeti National Park to Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site, before continuing to Karatu for an overnight stay. Olduvai Gorge, one of the most significant paleoanthropological sites in the world. Visit the Olduvai Museum, which showcases early human fossils discovered in the area. Learn about the famous discoveries made by Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey, including early hominid remains dating back over 1.8 million years.
