Your safari adventure will begin in Arusha. After breakfast is the journey to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is one of Tanzania's hidden gems, known for its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife.
Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s most stunning and underrated safari destinations. The Park is renowned for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife that thrive along the Tarangire River. Located in the Manyara Region, about 120 km (75 miles) southwest of Arusha, it covers approximately 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles), making it the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania. The Park is renowned for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife that thrive along the Tarangire River.

Day 2

From Tarangire to Ngorongoro crater

From Tarangire to Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater and Venture down to the crater floor, or “The garden of Eden” viewing the high concentration of wildlife. The crater is the largest un broken caldera in the world, this 2000 feet deep and 264 sq mile natural amphitheater is the host to an astonishing array of wildlife, universally acclaimed to be one of the natural wonders of the world, the Ngorongoro crater inevitably invites the comparison with the garden of Eden.

A world Heritage Site, the crater hosts almost every species found in the region except giraffe (they can’t negotiate the steep incline down.) There are cheetah, hippo, plains species and a myriad of birds. Here is one of the few remaining places it’s possible to encounter the highly endangered black rhino. It is also possible to see elephant (mostly lone or “bachelor” bulls, contented prides of lion, a resident herd of wildebeest, zebras.

Today you will experience the slogan of “Serengeti shall never die” Serengeti National Park is one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world, known for its vast plains, abundant wildlife, and the Great Migration. A game drive in Serengeti offers incredible opportunities to spot the Big Five, predators in action, and large herds of wildebeests and zebras. Depart for an early morning game drive (best time to see predators hunting). Afternoon: More Wildlife Viewing & Scenic Drives, resume the game drive, looking for more wildlife action. Evening: Sundowner & Return to Camp.

Central Serengeti, also known as Seronera, is one of the best wildlife hotspots in Serengeti National Park. It has abundant resident wildlife, making it an excellent area for game drives year-round. This region is particularly famous for its big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) and large concentrations of herbivores.

From Serengeti to Ngorongoro Olduvai Gorge

After breakfast, drive back to Ngorongoro conservation Area passing through the archeological site of Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai, more accurately called Oldupai after the wild sisal in the area, is the site of some of the most important finds of early hominid fossils of all time (made famous by the work of the Leakey family) - The "Nutcracker Man" or Australophithecus boisei who lived 1.8 million years ago.
There is a small informative museum located at the visitor centre. The gorge is a treasure trove of archeological sites filled with fossils, settlement remains and stone artifacts.
