Tarangire National Park

As the arrival is in the morning time, will start your safari with the packed lunch you will start with magnificent National Park-Tarangire National Park. This is Tanzania's fourth largest park offering diverse wildlife and scenery including giant baobab trees. It is home to the largest herds of elephants in East Africa!. These herds migrate along the wildlife corridor to nearby Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Animal populations here rival those of the Serengeti so you will have a chance to see wildebeests, zebras, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, gerenuks, and flocks of birds of various species.

Ngorongoro crater to Ndutu

After early breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro conservation area and descend to the crater for the game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as the pride of lions that include the magnificent black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. You will enjoy your lunch at a picnic site in the crater floor and proceed with afternoon game drive late afternoon drive to Ndutu, norther Ngorongoro conservation Area.

Ndutu area game drive

We will start our day early for the game drive at Ndutu area. The Ndutu Area is part of Ngorongoro Conservation Area making boundary to the southern Serengeti. The great migration reaches here with its over two million animals to give birth to their calves and thousands of animals are born daily between the end of December and the beginning of March. This also attracts many predators like lions, Cheater and hyenas.

Ndutu and southern Serengeti game drive

Another day in Ndutu area, tracking the great Wildebeest migration where more than 2.5M Wildebeest will be in Ndutu area migrating to central Serengeti. These are the best friend of Zebras, as both accompany each other on migration. Giraffe, impala, elephant, dik dik, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, bat-eared fox, genet, jackal, wildcat, and many other animals end up living in Ndutu. The plains, marshes, and lakes to woodland attract an abundance of bird species.

After breakfast, you will do morning game drive at Ndutu area before you start driving to Karatu via Ngorongo crater rim. On the way you will be able to spot a lot of wildlife. Ndutu residents’ animals include giraffe, impala, elephant, dikdik, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, bat-eared fox, genet, jackal, wildcat.
