You’re welcome in Tanzania! Your Superior African Safari tour guide will meet you at the Kilimanjaro airport and drive you to planet lodges Arusha. You will spend the rest of the day to yourself and do as you like in Arusha!

Ngorongoro Crater

On the second day of your safari in Tanzania, rise early and depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area from Arusha. Enjoy the ride as the route goes across the Great Rift Valley, past the crater forest, and finally to the impressive Ngorongoro Crater, your destination. It’s easy to understand why this extinct volcano is one of Tanzania’s most popular tourist sites. The crater, one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders, is teeming with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and even the endangered black rhino. It also has Africa’s largest concentration of species. See nature at its best as you explore the distinctive environment from the safety and comfort of your own private safari vehicle.

Tarangire National Park

Start the day with a delicious breakfast as the sun rises. After exploring Ngorongoro Crater, continue your Tanzanian adventure to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing. This park has fewer visitors, allowing you to enjoy herds of elephants wandering among the famous Baobab trees in peace. Tarangire is home to the world's largest population of wild elephants, making it the best place to see them. You may spot herds of up to 300 elephants drinking from the shallow Tarangire River or cooling off in the mud. Besides elephants, bird enthusiasts will love the variety of bird species, while lions, leopards, cheetahs, and tree-climbing snakes can be spotted around the marshes. After a thrilling five-day safari, unwind at Tarangire Safari Lodge, offering breathtaking views of the savannah.
