Depart from Nairobi on safari. Morning drive through the fertile tea-growing highlands of Limuru before descending into the Rift Valley. Continue to Lake Nakuru. Lunch and afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its pink ribbon of flamingos that feed along the shores of the lake, as well as being one of the best parks in East Africa to see Rhino. Overnight at Nakuru Lion Hill Lodge or similar.

Day 2
Masai Mara

A morning drive of great scenic beauty and contrast, passing Mount Longonot, a dormant volcano, to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most spectacular game reserve. Lunch and an afternoon game drive may reveal the “Big Five”: Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo. Spend the next two nights at Mara Sarova Lodge or similar.

Day 3

Every new morning on safari brings a different experience. A full-day game viewing in the Masai Mara. Elephants and Buffalo abound in the riverine forests, while out on the grasslands Impala and Thompson's gazelle can be seen together with their attendant predators such as lion, Cheetah, Hyena, and Jackal. The Mara is, in fact, the northern part of the Serengeti ecosystem and plays host to the vast herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra from July to October. Lesser known species such as topi, hartebeest, waterbuck, Eland, and many small mammals create a kaleidoscopic picture of wildlife.
