Nairobi to Mugie Conservancy

You will be picked from your hotel as you depart Nairobi and head toward Mugie Conservancy, a 6-7 hour drive northwest of the city. The journey begins with the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, where you will pass through the bustling town of Nanyuki. As you leave the town behind, the road becomes more rugged, taking you through rural villages and expansive farmlands before reaching the more challenging terrain near the conservancy. Arriving at Ol Malo Lodge in the late afternoon, you will check in, settle into your room, and enjoy the stunning views over the conservancy. After a delicious dinner, relax and unwind, listening to the sounds of the African bush around you.

Mugie Conservancy

After breakfast at the lodge, embark on an early morning game drive in Mugie Conservancy. The conservancy, home to a diverse range of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and predators like lions, offers an intimate safari experience. Your guide will lead you through the reserve, sharing insights into the local wildlife and conservation efforts. Stop for a light bush breakfast amidst the savannah before continuing your exploration. In the afternoon, return to the lodge for a delicious meal and relax by the pool or on the lodge’s terrace. Later, venture out again for a late afternoon game drive to catch sight of the wildlife as they become active before sunset.
