After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel for a scenic 5-6 hour drive to Selous Game Reserve. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River, where you’ll have the chance to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in Selous Game Reserve, Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuary, covering 54,600 sq km—larger than Denmark and four times the size of Serengeti. Selous is home to the world’s largest population of large game animals, including elephants and buffalo, as well as wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, hippos, leopards, and lions. With over 350 species of birds, it’s a birdwatcher’s paradise. In the evening, drive back to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Mikumi National Park

Mikumi National Park

In the morning, depart for Mikumi National Park, passing through Northern Selous. During your safari, you’ll encounter a rich variety of bird species and large populations of giraffes, buffalo, and elephants. If you’re fortunate, you may also spot lions, leopards, and African wild dogs. Commonly seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, elands, and antelopes. Observation towers throughout the park offer stunning views of the entire landscape. Later, you'll drive to the lodge for your overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Ruaha, enjoying a scenic lunch along the way. By evening, you’ll arrive at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge, situated on and around a rocky kopje with stunning views of the Great Ruaha Plain. The lodge offers comfortable accommodations that blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, allowing guests to feel at one with the wilderness. Both the dining "Banda" and the bar are perched above the river, offering a perfect combination of comfort, coolness, and breathtaking views. Later, settle in for an overnight stay at the lodge.

Ruaha National Park Full Day

Enjoy a full day of game driving in Ruaha National Park, with picnic lunches provided. Covering 20,226 sq km, Ruaha is Tanzania’s largest park and the second-largest elephant sanctuary.

The Great Ruaha River, which flows along the park’s eastern border, creates stunning gorges and scenery, and is home to numerous hippos and crocodiles. The park is also inhabited by a wide variety of animals, including greater and lesser kudu, roan and sable antelopes.

With over 370 bird species recorded, it’s a birdwatcher’s paradise. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 6

You'll depart for Udzungwa Mountain National Park. In the evening, arrive at the lodge, and relax while bird-watching in the pristine rainforest. Prepare for the next day's hiking towards the Sanje Waterfalls for spectacular views of the wide Kilombero Valley.

Pls, note that the hike can be quite strenuous. If you prefer you can also walk towards a Rubber Plantation and learn about the process to produce natural latex. Later you will be back at the lodge for your overnight stay.
