Tarangire National Park To Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, depart toward the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti. The driving itself, although long, is spectacular. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in the local language, "endless plains".
The park has 6,900 sq. miles (18,000 sq. km) and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon, defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the great migration and 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes. As for big cats and large predators, it's the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous river crossings being filmed in this park.
After the game drive, you will spend a night in Serengeti.

Ngorongoro Crater
You will depart from the lodge early in the morning and head to the Ngorongoro Crater for your game drive. The crater is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world, but it is also one of the New 7 Natural Wonders of Africa. The crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant. It has a dense population of predators which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other waterbirds can usually be seen here.
After your morning game drive, you will take a break to enjoy your packed lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site. After the game drive, you will proceed to Arusha and spend a night.

Day 6
Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park
Despite the small size of the park, common animals include giraffe, buffalo, zebra, warthog, the black-and-white colobus monkey, the blue monkey, flamingos and more. African elephants and leopards are present, but rarely seen. The park is at the base of Mount Meru, which is good for climbing. Bird-life in the forest is prolific, with many forest species more easily seen here.
Though very accessible, Arusha NP isn't on many safari itineraries. This is mainly because it doesn't offer a chance of seeing the Big 5. It has a range of habitats, including a forest home to the black-and-white colobus monkey and is excellent for birding. We will drive back to Arusha.
