Day 1

Tarangire national park

Tarangire national park

Your Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast. You will then drive to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-and-a-half-hour journey on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. Known for its large elephant herds, the park offers great opportunities to observe these magnificent animals congregating by the river. Additionally, you may encounter giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest, with various predators such as lions and leopards often in the vicinity.
Tarangire is also home to the highest diversity of bird species anywhere on the planet. You will find ancient baobab trees throughout the park, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park.
After your game drive, you will transit to your accommodation.

Lake manyara national park

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse park offering a unique blend of experiences. The park is both narrow (one of the smallest in Africa) and dramatic, with the towering Great Rift Escarpment forming a breathtaking backdrop to the landscape. The park’s namesake, a shallow salt lake, expands and contracts with the seasons, attracting thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. You may encounter baboons and elephants in the lush evergreen forest, and keep your eyes peeled for the famous tree-climbing lions that have made this park legendary.
After a full day of wildlife experiences, you’ll make the short drive to your accommodation, ready to relax and reflect on an unforgettable day.

Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater. As you approach, the crater reveals itself like a hidden gem - an ancient volcanic caldera teeming with life, framed by lush, towering walls. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a breathtaking blend of golden savannahs, and acacia-dotted woodlands, shaped by a colossal eruption millions of years ago.

The descent into the crater feels like stepping into a nature documentary. Once on the crater floor, you’ll find yourself surrounded by an astonishing array of wildlife: herds of wildebeest and zebra roam freely, graceful gazelles dart across the plains, and over 500 bird species fill the air with song. With some luck, you might even spot the elusive black rhino grazing in the open grasslands.
