Departing from Nairobi, you'll embark on a journey to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, passing through the stunning Great Rift Valley. The drive lasts about 5-6 hours, with ample opportunities for scenic stops and photography along the way. Upon arrival, you check into the Jambo Mara Safari Lodge, a wonderful spot to unwind while enjoying breathtaking views of the Mara. After settling in, lunch at the lodge awaits, where you can immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere. In the afternoon, you set off on our first game drive in the renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve, famous for its rich wildlife, including the iconic Big Five. The evening drive provides a cooler climate, making it an excellent time for wildlife activity. Look out for cheetahs on the hunt, elephants roaming the savannah, possibly spotting a lion pride as the sun paints the sky. After an exhilarating day, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

These early hours are ideal for observing predators as they hunt. Stay alert for lions and cheetahs on the lookout for prey, while also enjoying the sight of wildebeest and zebras grazing in the expansive plains. The reserve is renowned for its diverse bird population, so don't forget your binoculars to spot various species like eagles and storks. By noon, you’ll return to the camp for a lunch, allowing you to recharge before the afternoon activities. Afterward, set out for another game drive to explore new areas of the reserve. Leaving the Maasai Mara, you'll journey towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, a scenic drive unveils the park's diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. A guided game drive follows, offering encounters with giraffes, zebras, rhinos, buffaloes, and diverse birdlife. The rhino sanctuary provides a close-up experience with both black and white rhinos.
