Day 1

You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport to begin your journey to Nyerere National Park, which takes approximately 3 to 4 hours by car. You are expected to arrive around lunchtime. Later, at 4:00pm, you will set off from the lodge for a sunset boat safari. This enjoyable cruise lasts about 2 hours and provides stunning views of grunting hippos, crocodiles basking on the river banks, and various birdlife, all contributing to the beauty of your sunset experience. After the boat safari, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay along the banks of the Rufiji River.

Day 2
Guided Game Drive and Departure

After a hearty breakfast, you will embark on a full-day journey to the expansive Selous Game Reserve, where you can explore its rich wildlife and pristine landscapes. You will likely encounter a variety of animals, including elephants, buffalo, lion prides, giraffes, zebras and impalas. Selous is primarily known for having a larger population of African wild dogs than any other national park in Tanzania.
During your adventure, you will take a break for a picnic lunch at a safe vantage point, allowing you to enjoy the stunning surroundings while observing wildlife in their natural habitat. Around 3:00pm, you will begin your return drive to Dar es Salaam, where your driver/guide will drop you off at your hotel or another location of your choice in the city.
