After breakfast, we depart from Nairobi for Samburu National Park, a drive of approximately 6 hours. We arrive at your lodge/camp in Samburu, check in, and have lunch. Then, you can enjoy the Maa culture of the Samburu people.
In the afternoon, you will explore the wild animals on an afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve, known for its unique wildlife, such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. You will move around as you take beautiful pictures and listen to explanations by our professional guide. Then, you will return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 2
Full Game Drive in Samburu National Reserve
Full Game Drive in Samburu National Reserve
Go on an early morning game drive to catch the wildlife at its most active. After 3 hours, return to the lodge for breakfast. From your lodge, you can view nature and wild animals at the Ewaso Ng'iro River. Enjoy a nature walk with a local guide to learn about the indigenous Samburu people and their traditions. Enjoy lunch at the lodge.
Go on an afternoon game drive to explore the park further. You will enter the Buffalo Springs National Park, observing more wildlife and the stunning landscapes. Return to your lodge for a bush dinner as you enjoy the traditional entertainment.

Day 3

You'll cross beautiful landscapes that feature dry savannah and scrubland dotted with acacia trees and occasional wildlife sightings. Enjoy panoramic views of the reserve's rolling hills, rocky outcrops, and riverine forests. Look out for wildlife along the way, as the two parks share similar ecosystems.
On arrival, settle in and relax before embarking on your first game drive in the afternoon. Enjoy a game drive through Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The landscape is more verdant than Samburu, and the reserve is known for its abundant wildlife, including herds of elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.
The Ewaso Ng'iro River running through the reserve is a major draw for wildlife, especially in the Dry season. Spend some time observing animals coming to drink from the river. The area is a birdwatcher's paradise, with over 350 bird species
recorded, including several species of herons, kingfishers, and migratory birds.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will check out. Depart from Samburu for Aberdare National Park (approx. 6 hours’ drive). Arrive at your lodge in Aberdare, check-in and have lunch. Relax or enjoy an afternoon visit to the Aberdare Ranges, or opt for a nature walk.
Have an early dinner at the lodge. Visit the famous Ark Lodge for a night of wildlife viewing from the comfort of the lodge’s observation deck. Stay overnight at The Ark Lodge for a unique experience of observing wildlife at night.

Day 5

Enjoy early morning wildlife viewing at the lodge, followed by breakfast. Go on an optional visit to the Karuru Waterfalls within the park. The route takes you from the highland forests of Aberdare to the lower-lying savannah landscapes of Laikipia. The drive will offer views of rolling hills, forested areas, and open grasslands. As you leave Aberdare, you’ll descend into the lower regions with expansive views of the Great Rift Valley, Mount Kenya in the distance, and occasionally wildlife along the road. The landscape shifts dramatically from lush, cool forests to the dry savannah plains.
You will arrive in the early afternoon for lunch and a thrilling game drive to explore the conservancy. Ol Pejeta is renowned for its diverse wildlife population, including the famous rhino sanctuary, where you can visit the endangered Northern white rhinos. During the game drive, you may also encounter giraffes, lions, hyenas, zebras, and a wide variety of birdlife.

Wake up early to experience the magic of an early morning game drive. The morning is one of the best times to see wildlife as animals are most active during the cooler hours. After the game drive, return to your camp or lodge for breakfast, an incredible way to start the day in the wilderness.
Drive to Nairobi with your packed lunch with an en-route visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, or engage in other conservancy activities before continuing with your safari.
