After an early breakfast, head to Kibale National Park headquarters for a ranger briefing on the dos and don'ts while trekking the chimpanzees. After the briefing, you will be led into the forest. Kibale National Park in Uganda is renowned for its high chimpanzee population and is a prime destination for chimpanzee trekking and habituation experiences. The chimpanzee groups are highly vocal, and it’s often possible to hear their calls from a mile away. Trekking the chimpanzees usually takes between three to five hours, and you are allowed to spend only one hour observing them, so make the most of that time to take as many photos as possible. Afterward, head back to the lodge to check out (you can choose to have lunch there or en-route) and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake Edward and Lake George. If time allows, you may also embark on an evening game drive before checking into your lodge.
