Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Following an early breakfast, our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Arusha and we'll set off to Tarangire for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, complete with a picnic lunch. Here, herds of up to 300 elephants dig into the dry riverbed for alternative water sources, while nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland gather at the shrinking lagoons. This national park serves as a refuge for migratory animals during the dry season and is a haven for elephants. We'll enjoy dinner and spend the night at a budget Lodge in Mto wa Abu.

Game enroute to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll head to the Serengeti with picnic lunches in tow. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon game drive, as well as one the following day. Your accommodation for the night will be at the Seronera public campsite, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

The Serengeti is home to the world's most incredible wildlife spectacle—the annual migration of 1.5 Million wildebeest in search of fresh grazing grounds. Each year, this massive herd, along with over 200,000 zebras and gazelles, migrates in a clockwise pattern around the Serengeti, reaching the Maasai Mara in Kenya before returning to the Serengeti to give birth (with more than 8,000 wildebeest calves being born daily from mid-February to mid-March). This journey covers more than 2,500 km and is fraught with danger, as the herd faces threats from some of Africa’s top predators. Depending on when you visit, your driver-guide will provide updates on the current location of the herd within the Serengeti.

Main Destination:

Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, you'll embark on a half-day game drive through the Serengeti before traveling approximately three hours to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You'll spend the night at Simba Campsite, where breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

The vast plains of the Serengeti are home to one of the world's most spectacular wildlife events: the migration of 1.5 million wildebeest in search of fresh grazing grounds. Each year, this massive herd, along with more than 200,000 zebras and gazelles, migrates in a clockwise pattern around the Serengeti, heading up to the Masai Mara in Kenya and then returning to the Serengeti to give birth—over 8,000 wildebeest are born each day between mid-February and mid-March. They travel more than 2,500 kilometers annually, constantly pursued by some of Africa's top predators. Depending on when you visit, your driver-guide will inform you of the herd's current location within the Serengeti.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, you will venture into the crater for a guided tour. Following lunch, you'll embark on the 3-hour journey back to Arusha. Both breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Often referred to as the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera on the planet. Approximately 2 million years ago, the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, causing its walls to collapse. This event led to the sinking of its floor, forming a natural enclosure with towering walls that rise 600 meters. Today, the Ngorongoro Crater spans over 19 kilometers in width and is home to diverse landscapes, including acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. These varying habitats support a population of over 30,000 animals, such as elephants, warthogs, flamingos, vibrant bird species, the elusive black rhinoceros, and numerous predatory cats. You may also spot the Maasai herding their cattle alongside buffalo and wildebeest.
