Tarangire National Park, located in northern Tanzania, is renowned for its large herds of elephants and diverse wildlife. The park features a mix of savannah, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, creating a rich habitat for giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and lions. It's also known for its stunning baobab trees and excellent birdwatching opportunities. Tarangire offers an incredible safari experience, especially during the dry season when wildlife gathers around the river, making it one of the best places to observe wildlife up close later in the evening drive to Marera Valley Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning breakfast, you’ll begin your journey into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Formed millions of years ago, the crater is 610 meters deep and spans approximately 260 square kilometers. Home to around 25,000 animals, it offers some of the best game viewing in Tanzania. Within moments of entering the crater, you’ll encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and elephants. With over 500 bird species, you’ll also have the chance to spot vibrant and diverse birds. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino grazing through the grass.
