After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, the day begins with a drive from Jimma to Bonga, covering a distance of 125 kilometers. Along the way, you will be treated to stunning views of the Gibe River Valley, offering an opportunity to appreciate Ethiopia’s natural beauty.
Upon arrival in Bonga, you will explore the region’s historical and cultural significance as the birthplace of coffee. A visit to a traditional Kaffa house will provide insights into the unique coffee culture of the Kaffa people, who are credited with discovering coffee. You will also enjoy a traditional lunch in Bonga before heading to explore natural wonders such as the Adiyo Falls, Dadiben, and Gora Hot Springs.

En route, you will stop at the ancient Adaracha Medhane Alem Church, an architectural gem rich in Ethiopian Orthodox traditions. You will also visit the Gurguto Natural Bridge, an impressive geological formation surrounded by lush greenery.
After a day of exploration and trekking, you will return to Bonga for dinner and rest.

After breakfast, you will drive to Bebeka, located about 30 kilometers from Mizan Tefari. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and have some time to rest and refresh before lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the largest coffee plantation in Ethiopia, which spans over 6,000 hectares and is the oldest and most significant coffee plantation in the country. This experience will offer you a comprehensive understanding of Ethiopia’s coffee production process, from seedlings to harvested beans.

After breakfast, you will continue your exploration of the Bebeka Coffee Plantation. You will have the opportunity to observe the coffee production process in detail, from planting the seedlings to the cultivation and harvesting of the coffee beans. The day will include a special coffee-tasting experience, allowing you to savor some of the finest Ethiopian Arabica coffee grown right at the source.
In the afternoon, you will return to Addis Ababa via a domestic flight from Bebeka to Addis Ababa, concluding your coffee tour adventure.
