Today, you’ll journey to Tarangire National Park, about a two-and-a-half-hour drive along well-maintained tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the sole water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season.
Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, offering incredible opportunities to witness these majestic creatures by the river. You’ll also encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, with predators like lions and leopards often nearby. The park is home to the highest diversity of bird species on Earth, and its landscape is dotted with ancient baobab trees, some believed to be over a thousand years old.
