Today, you’ll journey to Tarangire National Park, about a two-and-a-half-hour drive along well-maintained tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the sole water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season.

Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, offering incredible opportunities to witness these majestic creatures by the river. You’ll also encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, with predators like lions and leopards often nearby. After breakfast, you'll depart from Serengeti National Park and head towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Within this vast caldera, you'll find a pristine wilderness, with expansive savannahs, clusters of acacia woodlands, and shimmering lakes and swamps.
