Trained rangers will then guide you into Bwindi’s thick rainforest to begin the search for the mountain gorillas. Since the weather is unpredictable, it’s wise to bring a raincoat and wear hiking boots. You can hire a porter to help carry your bag for a small fee.
The trek may take 2 to 7 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. Being physically fit is an advantage, as some hikes are steep and challenging. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat—watching them play, feed, and interact.
