Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

We will pick you up from your hotel and head to a remarkable destination—Tarangire National Park. Known for its diverse landscape with nine distinct vegetation zones, the park is especially famous for its towering ancient baobab trees, which dominate the scenery and dwarf the animals around them.

The Tarangire River, a vital water source, attracts a wide range of wildlife, including lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and an impressive variety of bird species. The park is also home to the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, offering rare opportunities to observe the social dynamics of elephant families up close.

You'll enjoy lunch at a scenic picnic site with breathtaking views of the river and surrounding wildlife—if you're lucky, you may even witness a predator in action. After lunch, we’ll continue exploring the park on an afternoon game drive before heading to your accommodation.

As you venture deeper into the Serengeti, you’ll understand why its name means "endless plains" in Swahili. Spanning 6,900 square miles, the vast grasslands stretch endlessly to the horizon, challenging your perception of distance. This iconic park is home to the Great Migration, where over 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and various antelope species—such as impalas and Thomson's gazelles—roam freely.

For those seeking predators, the Serengeti is a prime location to spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many famous wildlife documentaries, including dramatic river crossings, have been filmed here, showcasing the park’s incredible biodiversity.

It is home to nearly every species native to East Africa, including the rare and endangered black rhino. Within the crater, you’ll find a diverse landscape featuring a river, swamps, a soda lake teeming with flamingos, open plains, and a forest.
