During our time here, we’ll discover the importance of agriculture to this village, which is known for producing crops like the famous red banana. Lake Eyasi And Hadzabe Tour
Early 5:30 a.m. wake up call. Breakfast will be served buffet-style at the lodge with Western and Tanzanian options available. At 7:00 a.m. we’ll travel for about 2 hours to Lake Eyasi, where we’ll visit two lesser-known Tanzanian tribes. First, we’ll meet the Hadzabe – considered by some experts to be the oldest continuing ethnicity in the world. These hunter-gatherers have changed very little in 10,000 years and use a clicking-based dialect. While here, we’ll have the unique opportunity to explore the bush on foot with an expert local guide seeking out bird species. Later you will meet the Datoga, who also boast a lengthy history. It’s believed that the tribe migrated here from Cape Horn about 3,000 years ago. Skilled farmers and craftsmen, the Datoga are known for the circular scarification patterns on their faces, added for beautification. We’ll spend about an hour immersing ourselves in their tribal culture…maybe even taking part in traditional song and dance.

Full Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
You will have another full game drive in Central Serengeti, which is famed for its terrific cat sightings. As you keep exploring this beautiful Park you will come to understand why the name Serengeti means, in local language, “endless plains”. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with almost two million animals following the rains to better grazing. Literally, above and beyond the traditional safari vehicles, an optional hot-air balloon ride over the Serengeti plains has become a welcome addition for the complete safari experience.
On every moment of the safari, your guide will discuss with you the best timing for you, including the game drives and the wake-up time. For example, you could do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full day game drive with picnic lunch.
