Arrival in Arusha and Drive to Tarangire National Park for a Game Drive

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by your guide and transferred to Arusha for a quick refreshment stop, before heading to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2-3 hours drive). Known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers a unique experience in a quieter, less-visited park. Enjoy a thrilling game drive as you explore the park's diverse landscapes, including swamps, savannahs, and woodlands. You may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. After your exciting safari, transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (about a 3-hour drive), home to the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its remarkable concentration of wildlife. After descending into the crater, enjoy a game drive where you can see a wide variety of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and numerous bird species. The diverse landscapes of the crater, from grasslands to swamps, provide an ideal environment for wildlife. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, continue exploring this incredible area. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Once at Mandara Hut, enjoy a rest and the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Afterward, you’ll return to the base of Mount Kilimanjaro and drive back to Arusha for your departure, concluding your unforgettable safari experience.
