Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will proceed through passport control. You will be met by a Kotia Safaris Representative outside the arrival lounge and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay. The drive to Arusha is about 60 minutes. Enjoy a great meal and a relaxing evening before starting your safari the next morning. Arusha is considered the safari capital of East Africa. Depending on the time you arrive, we may be able to have an Arusha town tour on the way to your lodging.

Day 2

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park

We will pick you up from your hotel around 8:00 a.m. for your short, less than hour drive to Arusha National Park. We spend a full day in the park, maximizing our opportunities to spot an excellent variety of animal and birdlife. A picnic lunch is included in the day tour. In the late afternoon, we make the short return journey back to your hotel in Arusha where we should arrive around 6:00 p.m. for dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, we will leave Arusha at 8:00 a.m. and drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is known for its elephant population estimated to 4,000 elephants live in the park. There are also other varieties of wildlife migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland which moves between the park and Simanjiro Game controlled Area. These animals spend their time grazing along the dry riverbed. The Silale Swamp attracts 550 varieties of birds, the largest number you’ll see in one habitat anywhere in the world! The park is also home to tree climbing pythons, as well as lions and leopards. Your full-day game drive will include a picnic lunch.

Day 4

Lake Eyasi

You will have early breakfast around 05:00am aiming to catch Hadzabe community at their daily responsibilities where you will enjoy another cultural interaction, this time with the Hadzabe people. You will be accompanied by a guide for a walking safari and witness a hunting activity with the Hadzabe bushmen. Hadzabe are the indigenous ethnic group in the north central region of Tanzania. They live around Lake Eyasi in the central Rift Valley and are the only remaining hunters and fruit-gatherers in East Africa. After lunch you will meet the Datoga community, one of the few remaining African tribes that still smelt iron to make tools for their daily activities.

Day 5

Driving to Central Serengeti National Park

Driving to Central Serengeti National Park

Rise for an early breakfast, around 6:00 a.m., and depart for Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural and scenic features. It has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa and it is world renowned for its endless plains. During the wildebeest migration, prides of lions and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs and leopards wait for the migrating animals to arrive. Crocodiles also wait patiently for the herds in the Grumeti River. Hippos co-habit the river with the crocodiles.

Day 6-7

Northern Serengeti National Park

After healthy breakfast you will proceed with game drive and witness the “the world greatest show” where crocodiles lick their thickset jaw in anticipation in the Grumeti river. The “big cats” such as lion hunting in the long grasses on savannah, leopard on acacia trees hang the meet on the tree, cheetah lies on rocks under the sun wait for the fresh meat from wildebeest, zebras and more. Here is where Great Migration and Mara River occur.

Memorize the final game drive in Serengeti accompanied with a lot of pictures. Always Serengeti is rich of big cats, buffalos, zebras, hippo, and a lot of species of birds-as you come out of the Kogatende Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti where you will spend another night in Serengeti National Park at central.

Day 9

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we will drive to Ngorongoro Crater where you will descend the 600-metre-high walls to the floor of the Crater. This is one the World’s seven natural wonders and is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is one of the most beautiful and unique places in the World. Here you will find a haven of African wildlife that includes not less than 27,000 plains animals that permanently reside in this Caldera. You might also be lucky enough to witness the endangered Black Rhino. We will enjoy a game drive and lunch on the Crater floor before driving back to the Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10

Departure and and Maasai visiting

Departure and and Maasai visiting

Today you will depart to a Maasai family for cultural experiences. You will be dressed like a Maasai bride & groom before the ceremony starts. The ceremony includes a word of wisdom and blessings from one of the elders (the most respected man in the community). You will have barbeque party. Singing and dancing is part of Maasai culture and this will definitely be one of the greatest memories you will share in your lifetime! Later you will leave the village in time to go airport for international flying.
